Graduation Ceremony Held at Our Faculty
The Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management held its graduation ceremony on Friday, 10 July 2026, in two separate sessions. During the ceremonies, a total of 156 graduates received their diplomas, marking the well-deserved culmination of their perseverance and hard work.
The graduating students, their families and the invited guests were welcomed by Dr Gyula Szigeti, Vice-Rector for Scientific Coordination, and Prof. Dr Mónika Garai-Fodor, Dean of our Faculty.
In her ceremonial address, the Dean encouraged the new graduates with the following words:
“Have the courage to make mistakes, because mistakes provide some of the most valuable opportunities to learn, and have the courage to explore new paths. Remain curious and compassionate, preserve the joy of learning, and never forget that true success is measured not only by what you achieve, but also by the kind of person you become along the way.”
Following the presentation of the diplomas, students who had achieved outstanding academic results and defended their theses to an exceptional standard received certificates of recognition from the Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management, presented by the Dean.
The graduates then took their ceremonial oath. Following the farewell speeches delivered by students, Márton Rónai, President of the Student Union, also congratulated the graduates.
A total of 215 students completed their studies at our Faculty in the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year: 58 students graduated from higher education vocational training programmes, 97 from bachelor’s programmes and 60 from master’s programmes.
We warmly congratulate all our graduates and wish them every success, happiness and professional fulfilment in the future!

Graduation Ceremony informations
Dear Graduated Student,
The registration for graduation ceremony has closed down. The scheduling of the ceremony is as follows:
25 February 2026 – 10:00 am (CET, Budapest time)
Engineering Management (BSc) – English/Hungarian
Commerce and Marketing (BSc) – English/Hungarian
Since the scheduling is based on training programmes, modification of dates is not possible.
Please arrive at least 40 minutes before the start of event. Gowns (“talár”) for the ceremony is provided by the Faculty. Gowns are available to pick up before the ceremony from the members of Student Government in the basement (“Zsibongó”) of Building G.
Due to the tight scheduling and administration please make sure to arrive in time. The pick-up of gowns closes down 15 minutes before the start of the event. If you don’t arrive in time, you’re only allowed to accept your degree certificate without gown.
The administration of degree certificates and providing tickets for guests happens on 25 February 2026, before the ceremony start.
If you do not complete the mandatory administration in time, you’re not allowed to participate at the event (not even if you’ve registered to it).
Graduation Ceremony Registration
Dear Graduate Student,
Congratulations on your successful final exam!
We would like to inform you that the Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Room F17 (“G” Building) of the Tavaszmező Street campus at 10:00 a.m. We will send the exact schedule to everyone in a later message.
Two relatives per graduate may be seated in Room F17, while additional relatives may watch the ceremony on a projector in Room F18.
Please use the form below to indicate your intention to attend (even if you do not wish to attend the ceremony)! Participation in the event is by advance registration only. You have until midnight on February 1, 2026 to submit your declaration, after which the system will close and no further registrations will be accepted.
Please arrive at the event at least 40 minutes before the start. Robes (“talár”) will be provided for the ceremony, which can be collected from members of the Student Council before the start, so it is important to arrive on time. The collection of robes will close 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony, and anyone who does not arrive by then will only be able to collect their diploma without a robe. The administration of diplomas will take place on the day of Graduation Ceremony (25 February 2026). Tickets for guests will be also handed out at the place of Ceremony. Anyone who does not complete the administration at the given time will not be able to attend the graduation ceremony, even if they have indicated their intention to attend!
Those who do not wish to attend the ceremony can collect their diploma from the Student’ Records Office during office hours from February 27, 2026. The current opening hours of the Student’ Records Office can be found on the following page: https://kgk.uni-obuda.hu/tanulmanyi-iroda/

The 20th Symposium for Young Researchers – FIKUSZ 2025 Successfully Concluded
On 28 November 2025, the 20th Symposium for Young Researchers (FIKUSZ 2025) was successfully held, organized by the Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management at Obuda University. This long-standing international scientific conference provides researchers with an annual platform to present their latest findings and build valuable connections within the academic community.



The event welcomed numerous international participants and researchers, ensuring once again a strong global presence and collaboration. Following the plenary session, attendees engaged in professional discussions across multiple thematic sections, including sustainability and innovation, macroeconomic affairs, business management, leadership and entrepreneurship, human resource development, project management, finance, marketing, and information technology.
In addition to the presentations, the programme also featured online and e-poster sessions, showcasing a broad and diverse range of research results.
One of the conference’s key objectives was to promote knowledge sharing and foster cooperation among researchers, an aim that was successfully fulfilled throughout the event. Representatives from various scientific fields had the opportunity to exchange insights in professional dialogue and to establish new research partnerships.



The successful organization of FIKUSZ 2025 once again demonstrated Óbuda University’s strong commitment to supporting the professional development of researchers and contributing to the vibrancy of both national and international scientific life.
