CALL FOR PAPERS – Fiatal Kutatók Szimpóziuma – Symposium for Young Researchers 2024

FIKUSZ is an annual international conference organised by the Óbuda University Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management: advanced Masters Students, PhD Students and young postdoctors, and other researchers are welcome.


THE CONFERENCE

We invite you to contribute to the 19th FIKUSZ International Conference with presentations and papers on 29 November. Participants are welcome from all over the world. The language of the symposium is English. The meeting is set out to attract scholars with different backgrounds. To support research collaboration, thematic workshop is planned on multidisciplinary research fields. We would like to draw your attention to that the Óbuda University will organise the 21st International Week from 25 November – 29 November 2024, paralel the FIKUSZ International Conference, which is eligible for funding under the Erasmus+ programme.

Announcement: Changes to Customer Service Due to Technical Issues

Dear Students,

We would like to inform you that the Academic Office will be closed on August 12th and 16th due to technical reasons. During these times, our colleagues will be available exclusively via email, so please contact them with your questions and requests related to administrative matters through email.

On August 13th, 14th, and 15th, we will be offering shortened customer service hours from 9 AM to 12 PM.

The personal customer service at the Dean’s Office will also be suspended on August 12th, 14th, and 15th due to technical reasons. On these days, our colleagues will be available exclusively via email.

10th International Conference on Lifelong Education and Leadership for all was a success

This year, the 10th International Conference on Lifelong Education and Leadership for All (ICLEL) was held. The event took place at the Keleti Károly Faculty of Economics of Óbuda University from July 9-11. The conference was chaired by three renowned experts: Prof. Dr. Osman Titrek, Prof. Dr. Carlos Sousa de Reis, and Dr. habil. Mónika Garai-Fodor, the dean of our faculty.

At the opening ceremony of the three-day event, in addition to the conference leaders, Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi, Vice-Rector, also gave a speech. The opening speeches emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and education, the necessity of continuous development of knowledge and skills, and the international significance of the conference. Prof. Dr. Osman Titrek highlighted that the goal of ICLEL is to connect the global educational community, share best practices, and seek innovative solutions.

The conference’s rich program offered participants the opportunity to attend inspiring lectures and professional discussions. The event covered many important and current topics, including:

  • – Sustainable practices in education and leadership
  • – Integration of AI into educational methods
  • – Promoting lifelong learning in various environments
  • – Ethical aspects of AI in education
  • – Innovations in educational technologies

In addition to the professional programs, the event was complemented by various cultural and social activities. The gala dinner held at the end of the first day provided a special experience for the guests. Participants were introduced to Hungarian folk dance traditions and listened to a performance by the university choir. The gala dinner not only showcased Hungarian culture but also strengthened the connections among the participants.

At the close of the conference, participants took part in a sightseeing tour, guided through Budapest’s most beautiful locations. This experience allowed visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural and historical heritage of the Hungarian capital.

Once again, the ICLEL conference successfully connected educational professionals, researchers, and leaders from different parts of the world, who shared their experiences and perspectives. The event proved its outstanding role in the field of lifelong education and leadership, contributing to the enrichment of participants with new ideas and methods.

The event organizers extend special thanks to all participants, speakers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the conference. The next ICLEL conference is highly anticipated, and it is hoped that next year’s event will be similarly inspiring and fruitful.

Registration for the Graduation Ceremony for Graduate Students

Dear Graduate Student!

Congratulations on your successful final examination and we would like to inform you that

the Graduation Ceremony of the Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management will take place on Friday, 12.07.2024 at 8:30 a.m. at Erkel Theatre (1081 Budapest, II. János Pál pápa tér 30.)

By registering for the graduation ceremony, the registrant agrees that pictures of the event will be taken on site. The pictures will be placed on the Faculty’s website within a few days after the ceremony.


Please use the form below to indicate your wish to participate (even if you do not wish to attend the ceremony).

You have until midnight on 04.07.2024 to make your declaration, after which the system will be closed and no further applications will be accepted.

Please arrive at the event 30 minutes before the start time in appropriate, elegant dress.

You must be in possession of an invitation to the event, which can be collected during the week of graduation (08.07.2024 to 10.07.2024) at the Study Department from Monday to Wednesday between 7:00 and 15:00 and the administration of the diplomas will take place during the same period.

 Those who do not do the administration at the given time and do not receive the invitations will not be able to attend the graduation ceremony even if they have indicated their intention to attend!

If you do not wish to attend the graduation ceremony, you will be able to receive your diploma at the Studies Department during open hours from 15.07.2024.

In this case, you will no longer be able to attend the Diploma Ceremony.
